e-news letter 2 (Distribution)

Hello to our E-book Authors!

“We believe that we have the best e-book program available.”

That may seem like a strong and bold statement to make, but there are many reasons we believe it is true. From our professional hand-coded conversions to our superior distribution network, our e-book program is designed to give your title the best possible chance of success in what can seem like a scary e-jungle.

I would like to take this opportunity to explain just how vast our distribution network really is, hopefully taming some of the lions, tigers, and bears that may stalk some minds and cause fear or doubt about your title seeing the light of day through the thick e-forest canopy of available e-books.

Our distribution starts out with direct uploads to the “Big Boys” like Amazon Kindle, B&N Nook Store, Apple iTunes, Kobo, and Google Books. These major outlets alone cover countries all around the world. Here is a list of just some of them, taken directly from their websites:

Albania, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Benin, Bhutan, Botswana, Brunei, Bulgaria, Burkina-Faso, Cambodia, Canada, Cape Verde, Chad, China, Congo (Republic of), Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guinea-Bissau, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Latvia, Lebanon, Liberia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Macedonia, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Mali, Malta, Republic of Mauritania, Mauritius, Micronesia, Fed States of Moldova, Mongolia, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Netherlands, Niger, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Sao Tome e Principe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, UAE, Uganda, Ukraine, United Kingdom, The United States, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.

While that sounds like a lot, We don’t stop there because we know that a few “Big Boys” is not much more than what other publishers might do, and it doesn’t let much light shine into the e-forest. So, our next stage of pruning we do to the e-forest canopy is to upload your title to our distribution warehouse, where it goes out to around 60-70 other outlets around the world. Outlets like Books On Board, Diesel Books, Ditto Books, E-book Mall, E-book Shop, Fish Pond, Lai Lai, Libri, Library.com, MobiLire, Off World Books, Online Book Place, PocketBook, Qbend, Shop.ca, Tradebit, and Wave Cloud, to name just a few at the time of this writing. The number and names of the outlets can change regularly based on availability, contracts, performance, and other factors.

These extra outlets give your title a broader exposure in countries around the world; our philosophy being, “The more quality outlets, the more chances for buyers to see your title”. Many of these additional outlets also have an internet presence in multiple countries, further increasing the global exposure for your title. This greater exposure bathes the dark e-forest floor in the light of opportunity for your title.

As great as all of this may sound, we take it even one step farther by clearing away some of the e-forest underbrush by partnering with other publishers in restricted countries like China, Taiwan, Russia, South Korea, Africa, and South America. These companies not only sell the e-books, but some may also contract with us to make a print version of your title to sell directly in their own country, eliminating the costly shipping that can often prevent printed-book sales abroad. Of course, each outlet reserves the right to pick and chose which of our submitted titles they will accept for either e-book or print distribution, but most of them accept most of our e-book titles and are hungry for more.

So, in conclusion, I think that all of these avenues for distribution of your title shines the light brightly on one reason why we believe that our e-book program is the best available. We are proud of what we have built, and continue to build, for our authors and we are excited that you have joined us. We wish you great success with your e-book.

Sincerely,

Roger Hayes
